Ciao! My name is Massimiliano, you can call me Massi (it's easier) and I am a 27 years old Freelance Portrait Photographer based in Oxfordshire working, mainly, between Oxford and London.
In 2010 I decided to be guided by my deep free spirit and check the world out. I left Italy and first moved to the UK, now my second home and surprisingly, the place where everything has begun.
It was precisely in London while taking some funny pictures of my friends that I realised something I've never given importance to before: the power of capturing a moment with the camera made me feel different, good. So I decided to make photography part of my daily life.
In 2013 I received an online photography course as a Christmas gift: I knew I wanted to make this passion my profession. I then kept travelling around (Europe, USA, Messico) with my camera strapped to my neck, experimenting every type of photography.
In 2014 I started a journey around Australia that played a huge role in my aspiring career and personal experience. In fact, I had the chance to work alongside professional photographers, photograph live music events, and I also realised my projects STREET ARTIST and DOWN UNDER.
Since I came back, I now work as a freelance portrait photographer due to the desire of creating or telling stories. It is through people, and their expressions that we understand the meaning of life and the importance of each one lived.
I love working with flash and strobes to shape the light primarily for environmental portraits even tho during my recent travel to India, where I complete the project SELF REFLECTION IN THE EYES OF INDIA, I decided to do the project all in natural light.
After being published in global fashion and lifestyle magazines, I now try to find my voice in this challenging world. My approach is natural and straightforward, and my photos are genuine, trying to convey emotions.
